About Us

Exton Yoga Mission Statement

The mission of Exton Yoga is to create an environment and experience which empowers its students to live a healthy, balanced life through the consistent practice of yoga. Power Yoga is a modern version of an ancient practice designed to create physical and mental fitness. This yoga is not about bending ourselves into the shape of a pretzel or sitting quietly in a candlelit room waiting for enlightenment. This practice is about breathing and moving our bodies as a means to quiet our minds. In a power yoga class we challenge our physical limits and explore our mental limitations, breaking through into new possibilities. Regular practice empowers us to meet life's challenges with strength and equanimity.

All Level Classes

Each class is designed to accommodate all yogis! Our practice is suitable for beginners and the most advanced student.  Modifications are provided for poses that fit your practice.  It does get sweaty in class with the heat.  The heat lets your muscles move with you and your breath for a more successful experience on your mat.

Get to Know The Instructors at Experience: Exton Yoga

Shannon LaSpina Audet eRYT 200

Shannon took her first yoga class, as a gym credit while she was in college, not realizing at the time the impact it would make on her life moving forward. After years of studying Muay Tai at the Dragon Gym she found herself back to her yoga roots for a mental outlet. After regularly practicing yoga for six years, Shannon became a teacher to share her passion for yoga with others. Shannon did her 200 hour certification at Power Yoga Works and is now a certified eRYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. When she’s not teaching yoga she is in the classroom teaching visual arts to middle school students. Shannon and her husband, Bryan, welcomed their first mini yogi Penny in December 2014. Yoga has inspired her in all aspects of her life and has made her a happier healthier person.

Mary Bock eRYT 200

After graduating with a degree in exercise physiology and teaching many other fitness disciplines Mary was introduced to yoga in 2001, while she was trying to alleviate back pain during her first pregnancy. 5 children later, Mary has a healthy back and a yoga inspired confidence and calm in dealing with her active family. Mary completed her 200 hour eRYT 200 Certification at Power Yoga. She has also completed Level 1 Baron Baptiste Training and is working on becoming Baptiste certified. Yoga is an influence in Mary’s life that she passes on to her family, friends and clients. Her outlook and practice, has transformed her physically and spiritually and has done the same for those open to learning the benefits of being a Yogi.

Kelly Pierson RYT 200

Kelly Pierson discovered her yoga practice through her dance minor at Penn State University. She felt the combination of the athletics of dance and the spirituality of yoga, gave her an extraordinary release from a usual hectic routine. After finding her vinyasa practice, she enjoyed the the opportunity to slow down and find a center she could only find in yoga. A school teacher while off her mat, Kelly enjoys sharing her love of teaching and yoga through a Power Yoga Flow practice. Trained through Colleen DiVirgiliis in 2011 at Seva Power Yoga, she enjoys teaching all over the Chester County area. With over 5 years of practice, she hopes to share with her students the positive benefits power yoga can give. Her practice has a focus on increasing flexibility, strength and endurance in each the mind, body and spirit.

Emily See RYT 200

Emily See has found yoga to be both mentally and physically transforming for over 4 years. She first discovered yoga as a supplement to her ballet and martial arts training, and quickly found that it helped her achieve calmness, balance and strength, on and off the mat. She strives to help students find the inner strength within themselves to achieve their goals. Even as a teacher, she enjoys being able to learn something new from each one of her students and sees being a guide as a learning experience. She has been certified through Power Yoga Works since August of 2013.
